Navigating the Waters: Ensuring Resilient Futures for NH’s Lakes

The Meredith Lake Associations cordially invite you to join them for a presentation by Ted Diers, the Assistant Water Division Director at the NH Department of Environmental Services. Ted Diers has statewide oversight of all water division programs and his presentation will focus on issues affecting the quality of our lake water - how we got here, what we can do, and our path forward. 

Bree Rossiter, Lake Winnipesaukee Association’s Conservation Program Manager will also share information about cyanobacteria, water quality monitoring, and water restoration efforts.

TIME: Doors open at 5:30 PM for light refreshments and networking, Presentation at 6:00 PM - Q & A will follow

This event is hosted by Windy Waters Conservancy, Winnisquam Watershed Network, Meredith Neck and Islands Alliance, Waukewan Watershed Advisory Committee, Lake Winnipesaukee Association, Lake Waukewan Association, Waukewan & Winona Watershed Protective Association, Lake Wicwas Association and Belknap County Conservation District.  All are united in a mission to preserve and protect the water quality in Meredith’s waterbodies for future generations.

WWN Annual Meeting, Saturday July 27nd at 10AM

Join us for the WWN annual meeting at the Leslie Roberts Beach area in Belmont on July 27 at 10am. Our guest speaker is Dam Bureau Chief Engineer Corey J. Clark, from the NH Department of Environmental Services, Water Division. He’ll talk about the operation and maintenance of the Lochmere Dam at the south end of the lake as it flows into Silver Lake, and other dams around the state.

Bring your friends, family, ideas and concerns, and a couple of chairs. Hear about the progress WWN has made on the Winnisquam watershed-based plan over the last several months, and an update on our programs and what’s ahead in our future. Rain date is Sunday July 28th.

3rd Annual Lake Winnisquam Summer Social August 17 @ 5pm

Put on your dancing shoes for our third annual Lake Winnisquam Summer Social on August 17th at the Conference Center at Blueberry Lane, 35 Blueberry Lane, Laconia from 5pm - 9pm. There will be live classic rock music by “Off the Record” who was a fabulous hit at our 2022 summer social, food provided by local restaurants, and our ever-popular Silent Auction. Soft drinks will be provided and guests are welcome to bring their own adult beverages. The summer social is a great opportunity meet others in the Lake Winnisquam community. Admission is free, and all are welcome. All proceeds will directly support the Winnisquam Watershed Network’s efforts to keep the Winnisquam Watershed clean and healthy.
