Lake Winnisquam Drawdown

NHDES has announced the schedule for its annual fall lake drawdown and this being an even-numbered year, Winnisquam is on the list. The lake will be drawn down two feet below its normal full pond level for a period of about two weeks beginning on October 10th. Note that since the drawdown operation begins at Lake Opechee we may not see a visible impact on Winnisquam until the 14th or 15th. On October 24th flows at Lakeport Dam will be increased to refill Opechee Lake, and the level of Lake Winnisquam should begin to rise late in the day on October 25th.
